Puzzle Videos and Tutorials

You may have noticed that we have recently started creating a range of puzzle videos, that explain the rules and how to solve various different puzzle types.

You can find a list of many of our videos so far at the following page: Clarity Media Puzzle Videos. You can also view all our videos via our Clarity Media YouTube Channel.

We receive requests asking for help solving puzzles regularly from our puzzle solvers, often when they encounter a puzzle for the first time in a newspaper, asking us how to solve it. Whilst we have various written guides to solving most puzzle types we offer, some people comment that they would find a visual explanation or a walk-through easier to digest and to help them understand the rules of a puzzle type.

Thus we've started to make puzzle videos, looking at logic puzzles such as ABC logic puzzles, calcudoku, futoshiki, killer sudoku, jigsaw sudoku, sandwich sudoku, minesweeper and noughts and crosses, in addition to other puzzle types such as cryptic crosswords. We are gradually incorporating links to these from the relevant pages of the website.

In order that we can create videos that are of most use to our dedicated puzzle solvers, please do let us know what videos you would like to see. For instance, is there a particular puzzle type that you just can't get the hang of, but find intriguing and would like to know more about?

Or perhaps you are just starting to solve a particular type of puzzle and would like some hints or tips on how best to solve that puzzle type - or simply to watch someone solve a puzzle. Or maybe you have specific questions about the process of puzzle setting / puzzle creation that you'd like to see addressed in a video.

Please do let us know any ideas for puzzle videos you'd like to see in the comments below and we'll do our best to accommodate as many of these as we can. In the meantime, happy puzzle solving!
