What is a word ladder puzzle?
A word ladder is a fun puzzle that was apparently invented by Lewis Carroll.
In this word puzzle you transform or morph one word into another.
The rule is that on each rung of the ladder you can only change one letter at a time.
For instance heat --> hear --> rear ---> roar and so on.
Often there is more than one way to move from the top word to the bottom word; whilst sometimes there is only one path though this is less common due to the number of words in english language the more obscure you get the more likely you are to find a variant route.
Some word ladder puzzles have clues as well in which case there is normally only one answer.
